Wayfinding signage design for Lincoln College's new Air & Space Institute

In recent months we've been working with the Lincoln College team behind the scenes at the development of their groundbreaking ASI campus in Newark to develop a cohesive and innovative collection of signage and wayfinding graphics for students, visitors and staff of the site.
The new Air & Space Institute facility will offer truly world class training for the air and space industry with programmes co-designed by leading industry figures such as the RAF, Department for Transport and East Midlands Airport.
Having already established branding, website and marketing designs for ASI, we were excited by the opportunity to apply the branding to their new state of the art college building.
First impressions
With ASI being such an innovative campus, we wanted students and visitors to feel like they're stepping into something really special when they enter the building.
With this in mind we've designed a number of captivating signs and installations with rotating illuminations that echo the colour palette and animated logo design we created for the brand originally.
Creative wayfinding design
We've implemented a number of unusual wayfinding solutions across the site that help to visualise the creative and forward-thinking ethos of the brand. This included large scale wall decal signage, graphics applied to the lift doors and eye-catching iconography applied to the doors of various key spaces on campus.
Functional overhead wayfinding signage
In addition to the more creative and vibrant designs, we've also ensured easy navigation of the site with functional and accessible overhead hanging signs, room numbering and map designs.
We've really enjoyed seeing this project come together and our friends at GRS Signs have done a great job with the manufacture and install of the physical signs.
